From the app (immediately)
- Open ScrollFork and tap Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and data disappear from the app right away.
Without the app
If the app is no longer on your phone, write to us from your account's email address:
Or write to privacy@scrollfork.com with the subject “Delete my ScrollFork account”. If the email doesn't come from the account's address, we'll ask you to confirm with a code sent to that address, to be sure it's really you. We delete the account within 30 days and send you a confirmation.
What we delete
- Your account and email, including any name and email received from Apple or Google.
- All saved places, the categories you chose, lists, ratings, comments, “what to order” and “Want to try / Been there” statuses.
- The links of the posts you shared, linked to your account.
- Backups are overwritten within 30 days of deletion.
What remains, and why
- Anonymous usage statistics (for example “a screenshot save succeeded in 5 seconds”): they contain nothing that identifies you, so they are no longer personal data.
- Links between a public post and the places it mentions (“this post is about these places”), with no reference to you: they help others who share the same post later.
- Emails exchanged with support, for up to 24 months, if you wrote to us.
Deleting only some data
You don't need to delete your account to remove something: in the app you can delete a single place, a list, a rating or a comment at any time. To leave the waitlist, just write to privacy@scrollfork.com.
